Michael Carmona has a Master's Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Cal State LA, is a certified dog trainer from Petsmart and Petco, and has dog behavior training experience since 2006 to provide the best possible care and solutions for your dog. Master Dog Training was founded in 2011 and has since earned the respect of countless dog trainers, veterinarians, groomers, doggie day cars, dog, animal rescue groups and personal dog owners in the San Gabriel Valley. Providing obedience training, potty training and service dog training. Also help with problems such as barking, chewing, jumping, digging, mouthing, nipping, biting, pulling on leash and following commands.

As a dog trainer specialized in dog behavior training, Michael understands that every dog is unique and requires individualized training. That's why he offers mobile dog training with customized training programs that are tailored to meet your dog's specific needs and goals.

Mr. Carmona has a Master's Degree in Psychology Specializing in Applied Behavior Analysis from CSULA. He also has two certification in dog training from Petsmart and Petco. Michael also has years of experience as a Dog Trainer and Behavior Specialist at Heavenly Pet Resort, K9-Loft, and over a thousand private clients. He is known and recommended throughout the San Gabriel Valley of California by veterinarians, groomers, and boarding facilities.

As part of Mr. Carmona's graduate program at CSULA, he conducted behavior modification services to the human population. During this time, Mr. Carmona realized that many of the behavior-change techniques used by behavior analysts were universally applicable across species, as were the scientific principles on which those techniques were based. Mr. Carmona felt that these well-validated practices used to help humans exhibiting behavior problems offered a rich and robust set of procedures and solutions for dogs with behavior problems.

Learning that behavior analysis provided a humane ethic from which to understand, predict and change dog behavior, Mr. Carmona decided to devote his part of his life to helping canine owners with behavioral problems and founded Master Dog Training. Mr. Carmona believes in teaching dog owners about their dog's natural drives and how to work with them opposed to working against them for a harmonious relationship.

Michael's philosophy is to use mainly positive reinforcement procedures for learning and to use corrections only if necessary. You don't have to break a dog's spirit in the training process. Every dog is different and will respond differently to different procedures. If you’re anything like Michael, you have an incredible connection with your dogs. When they need training, you want to make sure they’re with someone who will understand them. That’s why Michael works with your dog's natural drives and instincts, not against them.

AKC CGC EVALUATOR

Mr. Carmona is a Certified Canine Good Citizen Evaluator and can administer the AKC Canine Good Citizen Test for your dog. This is useful for homeowner's insurance for bully breeds or guarding breeds, and may give dog privilaged stays at some hotels without an extra pet fee!
